Legislation
The states below have already successfully passed legislation requiring Adult Changing Stations in their state! Click the State below to be directed to information about their legislation.
Bills Introduced
Many other states have introduced bills and are waiting for their legislature to vote on them. Others did not pass, but managed to raise awareness in their state.
Bills have been introduced in:
Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.

Here are a few examples of thorough bills with exact specifications defining what a universal/adult changing station is, and where they should be installed. We would like to see pass all over the country.
Adopt New Building Code in Your State
New building code has already been written by the International Code Council that will require Adult Changing Stations to be included in large, new buildings when they are built. Every state must adopt this building code in order for it to go into effect in your state. Ohio and Minnesota have already adopted ththis new building code. You can do it, too! Call your state board of building standards and ask how to request this building code be adopted in your state.
